Virat Kohli Breaks Sachin Tendulkar's World Record

Virat Kohli finally beat legendary Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar as the international batter with the most ODI centuries.

During the Cricket World Cup 2023 semifinal at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, the former Indian cricket team captain hit his 50th ODI ton against a hapless New Zealand bowling attack।

With the aid of eight fours and a six, Kohli, who was in excellent form, reached the milestone in 106 balls.

Prior to the game, Kohli and Sachin were locked at 49 hundreds, and the latter's nearly faultless innings cemented his place in history.

Additionally, it was Kohli's seventh fifty-plus score in the World Cup 2023, the most in any one competition.

Not only that, but Tendulkar's previous World Cup record was also broken by Kohli. He was the batter with the most runs in a single Cricket World Cup edition.

With this knockout stage century, he achieved a first for himself in the Cricket World Cup, surpassing Tendulkar's record for the most runs in a single edition of the competition.
